1. ACO-VT adopts the Virginia Tech Principles of Community for Student Organizations as a Code of Conduct paying special attention to the need for members to be respected by other members and to feel safe around other members.
2. a. The president of ACO-VT, acting in conjunction with the advisor, shall have the responsibility for warning members when their behavior contradicts the Principles established and imposing sanctions for repeated infractions.
b. In the absence of an advisor, the Executive Committee shall have collective responsibility for carrying out the actions listed in Section 2a.
3. After an initial warning, suspension from practice or from tournament play may be imposed. Suspensions will not exceed one practice or one game for a first offense after warning and may lead to permanent dismissal from the organization for subsequent offenses.
4. Members under suspension shall not exercise any duties or responsibilities that would normally be connected to their membership.
