Send an email to listserv@listserv.vt.edu with text in the following format in the BODY of the email (the subject line is left blank):

    subscribe VT-ACO_LIST [First Name] [Last Name]

    Example: subscribe VT-ACO_LIST John Smith

Within a few minutes, you should receive an email from "LISTSERV.VT.EDU LISTSERV Server" (the email address will be listserv@listserv.vt.edu). This will verify that your email was received and will ask you to confirm your addition to the listserve by clicking a link provided within the email. Before doing so, check your first and last name to verify they are both correct. When you have done this, click the provided link in the email, which will direct you to a "command confirmation" webpage.

Again, within a few minutes, you should receive another email from "LISTSERV.VT.EDU LISTSERV Server" with subject "You are now subscribed to the VT-ACO_LIST list." Once you have received this email, you are all set to go. Enjoy!!
