If we had hit the road at 5:30 in the morning, Virginia Tech would have
made it to Harvest Bowl at Randolph Macon College on time. This most likely
would have been our second greatest achievement of this tournament, had
it happened, which it most certainly didn't. Tech's main accomplishment
could have been winning a game while Hokie buzzer-master Jason Thweatt
served a one game suspension for spitting at a moderator. Okay, fine, he
just would have sat out.
Virginia Tech could have finished Harvest Bowl with a 4-4 record, with
hypothetical wins over non-existent teams from Hampton-Sydney, Loyola,
Johns Hopkins A, and Wake Forest (it would have been a forfeit, but still
a win) and probable losses at at the hands of North Carolina, George Washington
Parkway, and George Washington Bridge (we would have lost to GWB twice).
Tech's high scorer most likely would have been Jason Thweatt with a
whole bunch of toss-ups and only a couple neg-fives. Chances are that Dennis
Loo would have nailed almost as many toss-ups, and actually would have
gone biscuit-free to take second on the Hokie team. Tech would have also
debuted stellar new-guy (who you would most likely always be able to spot),
"Little" Jeremy Ramont, who would have had the opportunity to perform impressively in his first college match. Jeff Ford and "Big" Jeremy Rotter might have also rounded out the Tech team, but none of this really occurred, because the tournament never happened..
The Team Results That Might Have Been:
Beat Wake Forest by forfeit(Won scrimmage vs. GW Parkway)

Lost to GW Parkway 290-190
Lost to UNC 320-200
Beat Johns Hopkins A 225-45
*Lost to GW Bridge 245-110
Total Points Scored: 1380 in 7 games.

Statistics could have been recorded in the form of Tossups Correct -
Interrupts. So a designation of 3-1 would have meant 3 tossups correct
and 1 neg-5 interrupt for that person for that match. "Out", obviously
would have meant that person sat out for the game, possibly due to spitting
on a moderator.
** The final GW Bridge game probably would have been in an unusual format.
There might have been a round of 12 Toss-Ups without boni, then most likely
12 Toss-Ups with boni, followed by, 12 Toss-Ups without boni.
All statistics could have been provided by Dennis Loo, the VT-ACO Cataloguer
